This position is responsible for material and equipment delivery to job sites in an efficient, punctual and safe manner. Position requires a CDL license and physical demands which includes regular lifting of 60 lbs. and up to 200 lbs. on occasion.

• Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads material and equipment to and from specified destinations.
• Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.
• Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
• Operates truck in accordance to established safety procedures.
• Meets all DOT requirements.
• Has strong work ethic, positive attitude, can work well with others and follow detailed directions. 
• Maintains clean and professional appearance of vehicle and equipment.
• Position may require working evening hours and weekends on occasion.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements:

• CDL Class B
• Minimum 2 years’ experience
• Knowledge of current TXDOT laws and regulations
• Must pass medical and physical requirements, possesses an acceptable driving record with required endorsements.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Subject to pre-employment drug screen and background check

Hours: Monday thru Friday, 7am to 5pm (evenings and/or weekends on occasion)

Starting pay for this position is $18/hour, based on experience. Overtime hours to be expected.

This position is responsible for heavy equipment operation on project sites while ensuring safe, efficient, and proper operation of various pieces of equipment.

• Ability to operate various pieces of heavy equipment, including loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, backhoes, etc.
• Be familiar with and incorporate information derived from the manuals for the individual equipment being operated.
• Be familiar with the equipment and vehicle condition report.
• Communicate with Project Manager/Foreperson as to the daily job specifications; operate the equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
• Perform daily pre-start up procedures; i.e. note the service due date, check fluid levels and make sure the equipment to be used is in good running order, complete vehicle condition report, etc.
• Discuss with supervisor the anticipated production, type of materials being moved, number of trucks, etc.
• Be aware of other equipment working on the project and coordinate to work with the other equipment.
• When possible, leave the equipment in a place that is readily accessible to the Equipment Mover.
• Keep equipment clean. Wiping down equipment not only promotes positive public image, but enables the operator to inspect the equipment close range.
• Ability to follow directions.

This position is responsible for routine manual and semi-skilled work in the underground utilities industry. The role requires operation of a variety of hand and power tools and is responsible for the equipment used in day to day operation.

• Preparation of construction site, digging trenches and setting of support braces in trenches
• Perform job tasks in a safe manner in accordance with company policy
• Ability to use shovels, picks, axes, portable grinders and buffers, hand wire brushes, jackhammers, tampers, paving breakers and weed eaters
• Must ensure the use of personal safety equipment i.e. safety glasses, face shields, gloves and hard hats
• Ability to pull, lift and carry heavy objects
• Must be able to move in any type of soil conditions and terrain
• Ability to crawl over and under pipes
• Ability to enter and exit trenches by either a ladder or ramp
• Flexibility of working long hours and the ability to work in all types of weather conditions
• Maintain a clean job site and to pick up all tools and equipment and secure the jobsite each day
• Other duties as required
